TOWN COUNCIL WORK SESSION MINUTES

Wednesday, September 23, 2026

Mayor Paulin, Vice Mayor Sitoula and Councilwoman Stillwell met in a work session via teleconference
on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. Also, in attendance were Town Manager Hicks and Town Clerk
Andrea Brady.

October Town Meeting Agenda – Under New Business add the Town Seal Poll results. Vice Mayor
Sitoula requested to be excused due to travel during that time.

Roundtable:

Mayor – Hawthorne Road isn’t quite open yet, but it will be opening today. Boys and Girls Club is having
a golf tournament next Monday at Swan Point, please share that information with anyone that might be
interested. USBTA will be holding their 10th Anniversary event in October. There is an AI Seminar this
weekend hosted by Voices of Indian Head at USBTA, on Saturday September 26 th from 1pm to 4pm.

Vice Mayor – None.

Councilwoman – The Rotary Club of Charles County will be holding their 49 th Annual Lobster Festival
on Sunday, September 27th from noon to 6pm at the Charles County Fairgrounds. Tickets are available
online through the Charles County Rotary Foundation Zeffy portal.

Town Manager – Spoke about a Shoreline Cleanup that was proposed by the CSM Environmental
Stewardship Initiative. He forwarded the email to Council. Town Manager Hicks feels it is an excellent
idea and if Council is in agreement he will move forward with scheduling on onsite meeting. Vice Mayor
Sitoula asked Town Manager Hicks to suggest the Boardwalk as a secondary location. Council agreed to
move forward with the cleanup.

Town Clerk – Inquired which member of Council will be attending the Jazz in the Country event in
October and gave an update on the Town seal poll.

Mayor Paulin adjourned the meeting at 3:40pm.
